This is the start of the story of my restoration and alteration of this beat up little doll house. I picked it up for a song at a thrift shop. It is a 1980's The Little house that has seen better days. It needs a fire place, window repairs, all kinds of things but to start with it needed a door. So this is the step by step of me making a door.

So it has been a busy week getting the shop all up and running again. There was a dead squirrel in the back yard incident. Sold my baby craps alot doll which made me laugh and been busy working on new things. This alter art doll my little pony is a prime example. It makes me laugh and I hope it does you too. It would be perfect for a pony collector who wants something really one of a kind.
My other time has been spent finishing a personal sewing project and making total crap that I would never show anyone but my dog. Love Cappy Sue PS. If you would like to see the details on this pony or consider purchasing it you can do so here . https://www.etsy.com/listing/203003239/my-little-raver-pony-altered-art-doll?ref=shop_home_active_2 This is a fun little creation I worked on this week. I love jazzing up crap as I call it. Taking something old and giving it a whole new life. That was the case with this silver leaf candy dish. When I saw it I thought it should have a fairy in it. So I made this one. I gave her little paper wings, a teddy bear she is snuggling and hand stitched her a tiny fairy quilt. So soon as I get a chance she will be available here and in my little Etsy shop www.cappysue.etsy.com. Off to try a nap of my own.
Love Cappy So first welcome this is my first blog post over here. Now on to the fun stuff. I know some people love to make one thing or one area of things and become perfect at it. That will never be me. I am a must something like a mad scientist without the amazing mind and done with crafts. Forever I am wondering hmm what can I make of this or that. Sometimes those things go terribly wrong and I still finish them because it helps me learn. Then sometimes they go not so bad. This is one of those times. I have a large stash of gorgeous old broken jewelry friends have sent me. I turned this one into a sun catcher then sewed a little creation to it to spin in the wind. The creation at the bottom is made of fancy papers and inks. I love it. Now it is not perfect and I would need to work on it more to make them nice enough to sell but I love tinkering and today this was my tinkering. Thanks for listening. Love Cappy |
